Yesterday I set out to collect the materials required for the Square Foot gardening project. These included:

• wood (I should have tried harder to find left over wood, but I couldn’t find any so I bought it)
• compost
• peat moss
• small shovel
• hammer
• nails
• seeds (radish, tomato and pumpkin)

I couldn’t find the vermiculite which is an important ingredient for the mixed soil and I didn’t want to buy a drill for just this project. Hence I wont be starting the Square Foot Garden today.

In fact I’ll visit my parents next weekend and will borrow my father’s drill and by that time I should be able to find the vermiculite too. So, count on an update by next Sunday evening (GMT) and when all is set to go I’ll start building the weekend after (Saturday 11 July). Stay tuned!
