When entering the country you will be provided with a 30-day visa at the airport customs. Please do check the date on the visa very carefully as sometimes the customs staff forgets to set it to the current date.

If staying in Sri Lanka for 30 days or more you can arrange a visa extension in Colombo. Two months will cost about 5000 rupees (30 £). We will gladly help you with this. You can also request a visa at the Sri Lankan embassy before leaving your home country. Please note that they need time to process your application so arrange this as soon as we confirm your booking.

Also note that you are coming on a Responsible Holiday! You are not coming to volunteer, you are not coming to work! If you put anything like this in your visa application form it will be denied! If you do require a visa for up to 3 months (the maximum you can get) please let us know and we’ll email you a sample application form.

And remember that you really are coming here on Holiday to Sri Lanka. You have even paid for it. And an exciting holiday it will be!
