Our projects

Get involved, go to Sri Lanka, work with children, orphans, elephants and sing, dance, play, teach. You certainly could, but for all that you need to visit our Volunteer page.

This page is about a number of projects where your help is needed in a different manner. This page tells you what we do with the money we get from well-wishers, donations, sponsors and responsible holiday makers (volunteers).

The other projects

Here, in the menu on the left, we tell you about the other projects. These are those projects where there may not be any volunteers, where maybe volunteers aren’t required, but where you can still make a huge difference.

We’re talking about projects that aim to provide clean drinking water, projects that help to clean the beaches, projects that help getting some furniture and beds for an orphanage, projects that help to ensure the future of orphaned girls and help buying books for a local library by collecting stamps, and many more. We give you the details of each project, current & potential, so you know what it is we do besides arranging responsible holidays.

But we don’t update you on these projects, well, not here. For that we have a news section and a success stories section.

Who gets help?

We gladly share that we rather not help people. That is people that ask for our help hoping to enjoy a free ride. No, we need them to really, really want our help. We need them to
demonstrate that they are serious about their project, to convince us that it will be sustainable, that the whole community reaps the benefits and we need them to invest their own money and time in the project.

We’re there to help them, giving them that little bit extra they need to succeed, not to fix all and everything for them.

We won’t give money as that has never done any good. Materials, manpower and knowledge however are a completely different story; these we’ll gladly provide.
