About LEO

The LEO Project is a registered UK based charity focused on improving education in low-income areas and promoting conservation issues related to endangered animals in Sri Lanka.

The project was founded in 2008 and is the brainchild of four friends: Anne, Simon, Amal and Rosiee. Its name comes from the three central pillars of the project: Life + Equity + Opportunity = LEO

Our core initiatives involve working with children from very underprivileged backgrounds, exposing low-income children to English language and literature, providing physiotherapy for those suffering from mental and physical health conditions, organising volunteer work and charity activity, working with sick and injured sea turtles, and promoting humane behaviour towards the working elephants of Sri Lanka.

Our efforts have moved from strength to strength over the years, and we're proud to offer a variety of volunteering opportunities within Sri Lanka. The LEO project speaks for those who cannot yet speak for themselves, opening up opportunities relating to health and professional development. If you'd like to do your bit, we can help arrange travel, accommodation and effective volunteering opportunities. Call today to find out more, or continue to browse our website and learn about our accomplishments, and the place you could have in our work.
