Work with children in the heart of Sri Lanka

You are needed at the Sri Lankan orphanages. No matter what you do, your presence alone makes a great difference to these children. All they need is someone that cares.

The orphanages

Are you up to the challange? Volunteer now in Sri LankaAt this project you will be welcomed at one of the orphanages we work with. Orphanages generally house from 20 to 300 children, aged between 3 and 18 from disadvantaged backgrounds.

For these children to learn about a different culture, different manners of interaction and simply to be given the attention staff members don’t have time for, means a world of difference.

How you can help

Working with children in Sri Lanka. The ultimate volunteering challangedon’t worry about having previous experience and no need to be a great singer, teacher or anything. What these children really need is your company; someone that is there for them.

Simply enjoy this experience, play games, sing songs, try some drama and comedy and have fun with sports, because no matter what you do it benefits the children greatly.

Do more by helping with homework and teaching conversational English. There is no need to be a native English speaker, as long as you know how to order a delicious curry.

Is this for you?

If you love to work with children and young people in a different culture this is for you. Be enthusiastic, patient, imaginative, resourceful, have initiative and be motivated and you will have the time of your life!
